Raindrop Therapy uses a sequence of nine essential oils that have been clinically tested to have antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. These essential oils are dropped gently on the spine and then lightly massaged in using various techniques. The practitioner dispenses the oils along the client’s spine like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches. The oils are gently brushed up the spine and lightly massaged over the rest of the back. A hot compress is then applied, which facilitates oil absorption and muscle relaxation.

Developed by nutritionist Gary Young, Raindrop Therapy is based on the theory that many spinal misalignments are caused by pathogens that reside dormant along the backbone. This condition creates inflammation causing contortion and disfigurement along the spine. The application of highly antimicrobial essential oils reduces inflammation and kills the pathogens, thus providing symptom relief.

From one of my clients:

I had the pleasure of receiving the raindrop treatment from Sherry in October. I had already been through an incredibly busy day and had an even busier weekend ahead of me. This isn't like a regular massage but it is just as effective! Aside from having an entire hour where I didn't have to do anything but relax, and the room and comfy table alone can make you feel better, I thought it was incredible. This isn't a technique that very many places in the area offer, and clearly takes practice, knowledge and dedication to learn. Sherry is adept at massage and has such great energy! I loved all the smells and the different ways the oils were applied. I felt very relaxed and balanced when it was over. Probably one of the most interesting effects I experienced was increased alertness. About 30-60 minutes after, I had SO MUCH energy and my mind was very focused. I felt like I had had the best nights sleep, even though I had been up and going for +14hrs! I would recommend this treatment to anyone! I will definitely be back for more! (p.s. drink LOTS of water after!)
